This spring there are some bold trends on the horizon. Read along to find out what is trending for the upcoming season!

Navy blue is the ‘it” color right now! This color is being used on accent walls and upholstery. Deep navy blue is showing up on velvet upholstery in all of the design magazines for spring.

A modern version of farmhouse style is still popular. This style has been growing momentum over the last few years, and it seems to be getting stronger. This version of farmhouse uses the deep farmhouse sinks, paired with clean lined faucets and hardware. In the past oil rubbed bronze was the finish for hardware and faucets for this style. Now the brushed or polished nickel is gaining popularity. Shaker style cabinets are the cabinets for this particular style.

Lucite and acrylic furniture are now being used on the legs of furniture. Most commonly they are showing up as short tapered legs on upholstered sofas and chairs. Typically these legs are used on a traditional frame to make the piece transitional. Clear legs on upholstery give it a light and airy look. Furniture pieces that are all lucite or acrylic are great for small spaces because they are not visually obstructive.

Copper is really gaining ground right now. It is showing up in accent pieces and as well as accents on furniture pieces. Bowls, vases and other kinds of accessories are being made in copper. This material has become more popular due to the rose gold craze.

Spring this year is bold and exciting! Enjoy the simplicity of farm house style paired with bold navy blue, acrylic and copper. The contrast between light lucite and acrylic mixed with deep navy blue; are further brightened by the use of copper accents.
