Caprice by Dal-Tile is our product spotlight this week.  It’s a glass tile product.

This product would look great used as a backsplash in a bathroom (like the image to the left) or in the kitchen.  You could also put it in the shower as an accent strip.  Where do you envision this in your home?

Caprice comes in eight different colors! Which out of the eight colors pictured below is your favorite?  Do you like the lighter or darker options?  The lighter colors would look great against a dark counter top for contrast and vice versa for the darker colors against a light counter top.  If you want to bring in a subtle color into the room, Whisper Green might just be the choice for you.

Before adding a backsplash

Are you deciding whether or not to add or update a backsplash? Perhaps it’s your kitchen backsplash, but you’re still on the fence about making such a big change.  Take a look at the photos below and see if they give you any inspiration.

This particular kitchen looks great before adding a backsplash.  Most people would love the kitchen just how it is and not think twice that a design element, like a backsplash, is even needed.  This space looks complete.

The backsplash’s purpose isn’t only to add color or richness to the kitchen, but it also provides protection.  A backsplash, in general, is placed  behind countertops and the stove to help protect the walls against food that might splash up against it.  Notice, that these homeowners decided to take the backsplash all the way up to the ceiling, behind the stove hood.  This is a great solution for what to with the space behind an exposed hood.

The backsplash also helps create an embellished window frame behind the sink.  As you can see, before the window is just there, but after the backsplash installation, the window trim pops and stands out much more.  If you like the glass tile option, learn more about glass tile and its pattern, color, and sizes options on our website.  Don’t forget, we’re here to help and if you have any questions feel free to ask them in the comment space below!
